We have updated our Veterans Services hours to be on the third Wednesday and Thursday of every month. These services will be available by appointment only, you can call (724) 826-5151 to schedule an appointment. Our Veteran Service Officer can help with various assistance services, such as: compensation and pension claims, education benefits, and other state benefits. Read more

“Thousands of my constituents were without power for an extended period as a result of the April 29 storm. Some of them sick, seniors, or dependent on electricity to power medical devices. Brackenridge Borough receives $5.95 million from Pennvest

HARRISBURG, April 24 – State Rep. Mandy Steele announced today that the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority has awarded $5.95 million to Brackenridge Borough to provide needed upgrades to the water plant to allow for major water system improvements. The funding will allow for extended improvements to chemical fields, monitoring equipment, a clarifier, meters, valves and on-site piping, as well as the construction of a new flocculation facility and other site improvements. “What is more important that safe drinking water? With Pennvest's investments, Brackenridge will provide the needed upgrades to the plant, increase public health and ensure clean water to our communities,” Steele said. “This is big!” The funding includes $2.13 million as a grant to the borough and more than $3.8 million in the form of a 1% low-interest loan. The Pennvest low-interest loan funding will provide the grant-equivalent of $2.9 million over the life of the loan. The funding is from Pennvest, which is a financing authority that provides low-cost financial assistance to address sewer, storm water, and drinking water projects across the Commonwealth. Pennvest provides affordable financial support that helps ensure safe drinking water to residents across Pennsylvania. This project will improve the community’s public health, infrastructure health and source-water protections. Read more

Mandy Steele has introduced a bill to repeal the prohibition on Sunday hunting and require at least one member of the Pennsylvania Game Commission to have a background in agriculture. Read more
