I secured funding for Tarentum’s Highland Hose Volunteer Fire Company a while back and they invited me to stop in this week to see the new turnout gear they got with the money. Following Act 36 becoming law, the Pennsylvania Game Commission had the permissions to vote on additional Sunday hunting days, and I am excited to inform you that they have worked quickly to add an additional 10 Sunday hunting days this season. These additional days are a result of my work on HB 1431, as well as many hunters and farmers who have advocated for this legislation for years. Wednesday was a monumental day for me and hunters all across the Commonwealth. We finally lifted the Sunday hunting ban with a bill we signed into law this week. The Pennsylvania Game Commission can now vote to allow more Sunday hunting days to be established within the state. I am honored to have led in passing this historical legislation. Read more
The governor hosted the bill signing at the Blue Ridge Sportsman Club in Harrisburg, and was joined by the Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding, the Pennsylvania Game Commission, key lawmakers, and hunters to mark this historic bill being signed into law. Read more
Pennsylvania hunters can rejoice after Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) signed what he called a “historic” bill on Wednesday, repealing the state’s centuries-old Sunday Hunting ban. Read more
The PA House has passed my Sunday hunting bill with amendments sent from the Senate and is now headed to the Governor’s desk! We are so close to getting Sunday hunting enacted into law!!! Read more
This week, the House adopted my HR 254 that would require the Joint State Government Commission to study the efficacy of burying electric and other utility lines in Pennsylvania. Following the April storms in Allegheny County, the time for this study is now. I will continue to fight to protect our communities against severe weather events. Read more
