Rep. Brian Munroe May 30, 2025 | 3:24 PM
Dear Neighbors,
I’d like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who organized, attended, and participated in a Memorial Day celebration this week. As a veteran, it gives me great pride in our community to see so many of you showing your appreciation for the soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen of our time, and those who came before.
Below you’ll find photos of some of the moments from the Ivyland, Warminster, and Warrington commemorations and parades. It was a peaceful, purposeful day.
In Service,
Brian
New Traffic Law Goes into Effect June 5
On June 5, law enforcement will start pulling over drivers using hand-held mobile devices while operating a vehicle – even if you’re paused in traffic or stopped at a red light. Paul Miller’s Law protects us all from distracted driving. Put down the phone and keep your eyes on the road!
New Welding Center at MBIT
The Middle Bucks Institute of Technology has a new welding center! I recently attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for their new space, and it is impressive. MBIT’s welding program trains students on different types of welding and welding careers and prepares them for success in the workplace. I’m proud to have this kind of educational institution here in our community.
Protect Your SNAP and TANF benefits from theft
We’ve recently seen an increase in SNAP and TANF benefits being stolen by card skimming. In response, the PA Department of Human Services and Office of the State Inspector General have launched a new security feature that allows you to lock your benefits card. You’ll need to download the free ConnectEBT app for iPhone or Android to lock your card when you’re not using it, and to unlock it when you want to make a purchase.
Users can choose to lock their card everywhere or only outside Pennsylvania. An optional auto re-lock feature adds even more protection.
DHS encourages all EBT cardholders to:
If benefits are stolen, recipients should report it to law enforcement and the OSIG Fraud Hotline (1-800-932-0582) and request a new card by calling 1-888-328-7366.
Learn more about this feature, how to spot skimming devices, and how to protect your benefits at www.dhs.pa.gov/scams.

Specialty office hours
To help focus on specific needs, my staff and I have established specialty hours where outside experts come in to help guide our residents. An appointment is needed for these hours. Please call (215) 323-6997 to schedule.
Until next time...
I hope you found this edition of my e-newsletter useful. I’d love your feedback on what parts you find valuable and how we could improve – please email your thoughts to me at RepMunroe@pahouse.net.
