Rep. Brian Munroe's Biography

Brian Munroe has been dedicated to public service since he was a teenager. At 17, he became a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician. Three years later, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served aboard the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt. During his military tenure, he was awarded the Armed Forces Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the National America Treaty Organization Medal, among others.

After his time in the Navy, Brian became a police officer in Radnor Township where he attained the rank of corporal and received commendations from the United States Congress and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

His love of public service continued, and in 2015, Brian was elected to the Warminster Township Board of Supervisors. Four years later, he was elected Bucks County Clerk of Courts. In 2022, Brian became the first Democrat to represent the 144th Legislative District.

Brian is known for being a pragmatic and moderate legislator who is unafraid to buck his own party when he feels it is necessary. He is a strong supporter of reproductive rights, local government, law enforcement, the environment, and veterans. His legislative focuses include affordability, putting up guardrails for AI, protecting the local water supply from contaminants, funding local community projects, and helping senior citizens.

As the founder and chair of the bipartisan Pennsylvania House of Representatives Law Enforcement Caucus, Brian has provided a forum for law enforcement officials to communicate directly with legislators on important local issues. As a two-time cancer survivor, Brian understands the importance of affordable and accessible health insurance.

Brian has lived in Warminster for over 20 years, and currently resides there with his wife, Natalie – a writer; his two daughters, Lily and Anna; and their three pets.
