RIDELY PARK, Oct. 8 – Throughout the months of October and November, the office of state Rep. Dave Delloso is partnering with Loaves & Fishes for a canned food drive and Neighbor To Neighbor Community Development Corporation for a winter clothing collection drive. Donations of canned goods and new or gently used winter clothing can be dropped at Delloso’s office at 605 E. Chester Pike in Ridley Park, or at the Darby Township Office at 713 Sharon Ave., Suite 1B. Loaves & Fishes is a food pantry located in Prospect Park, which works to help meet the needs of community members living under the weight of poverty by providing nutritious food and caring compassion. Neighbor To Neighbor is a nonprofit corporation which strives to bring community, businesses, elected officials, faith-based and educational institutions together to stimulate economic, social and educational development for communities and to foster personal and family growth. GLENOLDEN, Oct. 6 – State Rep. Dave Delloso will be hosting a luncheon for veterans living in the 162 nd Legislative District he serves in recognition of their service to the United States. A free luncheon to honor veterans of the U.S. Armed forces will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27 at the American Legion Post 566. Information about various services and benefits for Pennsylvania veterans and their families will be available for attendees. Pre-registration for the free luncheon is required. Veterans can register by calling Delloso’s office at 610-534-1002. American Legion Post 566 is located at 35 S. Glen Ave., Glenolden. Delloso served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve from 1984–1990 and from 1991–1993. He has represented Pennsylvania’s 162 nd Legislative District since 2019. The 162 nd Legislative District he represents includes the boroughs of Folcroft, Glenolden, Norwood, Prospect Park, Ridley Park, Rutledge and Sharon Hill and parts of Darby and Ridley townships. RIDLEY PARK, Sept. 29 – State Rep. Dave Delloso will host a document shredding event in Norwood on Oct. 31 to help constituents protect their personal information and safely dispose of sensitive information. Delloso said disposal of sensitive documents can help prevent identity theft. Residents can drop off paper and personal documents in disposable boxes or bags for secure shredding from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 31 at the Norwood Fire Company . All documents will be shredded on-site, and the shredded paper will be recycled. The event will also serve as a donation drop-off location for his office’s upcoming canned food and winter clothing drive. The Norwood Fire Company is located at 336 Chester Pike in Norwood.
