Boyd announces 2023-24 PA House committee assignments

HARRISBURG, June 9 – State Rep. Heather Boyd, D-Delaware, announced her appointment to serve on three PA House standing committees for the 2023-24 legislative session: Health, Labor and Industry, and Game and Fisheries.

“My constituents know that I am a strongly pro-choice legislator, so I look forward to advocating for women’s reproductive rights in the Health Committee,” Boyd said. “It’s so important to have women’s voices heard in these discussions that affect our entire commonwealth.”

Boyd added that she’s eager to expand her pro-choice platform. Through her assignments to the Labor and Industry and Games and Fisheries committees, Boyd said she’ll be in a position to speak up on matters affecting union workers and Pennsylvania’s conservation districts.

“I’m hopeful that the Labor and Industry Committee can discuss raising Pennsylvania’s minimum wage in the near future. Every job is essential, and every worker deserves financial stability,” Boyd said. “In the meantime, in the not-so-distant future, I’m looking forward to helping out with trout stocking at Darby Creek.”

Boyd’s Delaware County legislative district consists of Darby, Upper Darby, Aldan, Clifton Heights and Collingdale.
