About Rep. Boyd
Heather Boyd won a special election to represent the 163rd Legislative District in May 2023.
Heather has a wealth of knowledge and experience in public policy and constituent service. Prior to taking office she served as the District Director and Senior Advisor for Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon and prior to that served as Chief of Staff in the neighboring 161st Legislative District.
From 2015 to 2018 Heather served as an elected member of the Upper Darby School Board, where she became a leading advocate for innovative education reforms like free school breakfast and lunch for all students to ensure that no child went hungry, no child was left out, and every child had the best opportunity possible to succeed. She also taught History and Art History at the high school and college level for 10 years.
She founded the Delaware County Chapter of NOW.
Heather resides in Drexel Hill with her husband Sean and her two school-aged children. She is also the mom of two grown foster children and has a three-year-old granddaughter.
