HARRISBURG, Feb. 28 – Today state Rep. Joanna McClinton, D-Phila./Delaware, was elected the first woman to serve as speaker of the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives in the chamber’s near 250-year history. During remarks in the House chamber, McClinton acknowledged the history being made and her commitment to bipartisanship. The libraries were each one of only 21 libraries in 15 counties to receive the state Department of Education grants.
