Delloso announces committee assignments for 2021-2022

HARRISBURG, Jan. 15 – State Rep. Dave Delloso, D-Delaware, announced his committee assignments for the 2021-22 legislative session.

“The work during my second term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives has already begun as we take on the priorities of dealing with the budget, pandemic recovery and vaccinations,” Delloso said. “I’m honored to serve the people of Delaware County. I will continue to prioritize legislation to create high quality jobs in our region and Pennsylvania, provide full and fair funding of our schools, provide health care for all, establish justice and equality, support our veterans, and protect our seniors.”

Delloso has been named to the Labor and Industry, Finance, Game and Fisheries, and Liquor Control committees.

The following is a brief description of each committee:

  • House Labor and Industry Committee: The Labor & Industry Committee reviews legislation on issues such as the state’s minimum wage, unemployment compensation, workers’ compensation, building and construction codes, and workplace health and safety.
  • House Finance Committee: The Finance Committee reviews bills dealing with financial issues for the state. Tax collection rates and policies are regularly reviewed, as well as banking policies.
  • House Game and Fisheries Committee: The Game and Fisheries Committee reviews bills which affect the Game Commission and Fish and Boat Commission. Both commissions are independent entities and rely on licensing and use fees for a significant portion of their funding.
  • House Liquor Control Committee: The committee handles legislation dealing with the state’s Liquor Code and oversees the operations of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, as well as the control of liquor by slot machine operators under the Gaming Control Board.
