Welcoming a New Year and Strengthening Our Community Together

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year to you and your families! As we welcome 2026, I am filled with hope for the opportunities ahead for our district and the Commonwealth. A new year offers a chance to strengthen our communities, expand access to essential services, and continue building a future where every resident has the support and resources they need to thrive. I am grateful for the trust you place in me, and I remain committed to working every day on your behalf.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the privilege of visiting several organizations whose work reflects the very best of our community. I recently spent time at Shared Wellness, where their dedication to creating a welcoming and supportive space for health and healing truly stands out. It was especially meaningful to reconnect with Shana and Kristine, whom I first met at my summer open house. Their warmth and passion for wellness are inspiring, and I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such dedicated professionals. I look forward to strengthening these connections and supporting the important work happening at Shared Wellness.

I was also pleased to join Representative Joe Ciresi for a visit to Mental Health Partnerships. During our visit, we had the opportunity to meet with their team and learn more about the essential services they provide to individuals and families across our region. Mental health is a vital component of overall well-being, and organizations like Mental Health Partnerships play a critical role in offering resources, advocacy, and care to those who need it most. Their dedication to empowering people and breaking down barriers is truly inspiring. I extend my sincere thanks to their staff and leadership for the vital work they do every day to strengthen our communities.

Another highlight this season was visiting the Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard, where I had the privilege of dropping off 138 pounds of food donations, made possible by the generosity of so many of you. I was warmly welcomed by Executive Director Cindy Wedholm, whose leadership and dedication to serving families in need are truly remarkable. The compassion and care that go into every part of their mission make a meaningful difference for countless neighbors. I am deeply grateful to Cindy and the entire team for their tireless efforts to uplift and support our community.

As we look ahead, I also want to take a moment to wish my colleagues, Representative Josh Siegel and Representative Dan Miller, the very best as they move on from the House. Their service to the Commonwealth has made a meaningful impact, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside them. I wish them continued success and fulfillment in the next chapters of their careers.

Thank you for your continued engagement, generosity, and partnership. I am honored to represent you, and I look forward to all we will accomplish together in the year ahead.
