This past month has been a powerful reminder of what makes our community so special. We came together to honor our veterans, celebrate a remarkable historical connection, and take bold steps toward shaping our future.
First, thank you to everyone who joined us at our Veterans Expo. It was a meaningful day filled with connection, support, and heartfelt appreciation. To every veteran who attended, whether newly transitioned or long retired, we are deeply grateful for your service and sacrifice. You gave so much to our country, and it was our privilege to create a space where we could give back to you.
|
We hope you found valuable resources, connected with local organizations ready to support you, and felt the strength of a community that truly honors and appreciates you. Our commitment to veterans continues beyond this event — we are here for you today, tomorrow, and always.

At Graeme Park, we recently experienced a moment that beautifully bridged history and hope. We were honored to welcome our friends from the Johnson Society of Litchfield, England, for the dedication of the Litchfield Willow, also known as the Johnson Willow. More than 250 years ago, Elizabeth Graeme wrote a heartfelt poem expressing her wish that a branch of the willow might one day reach America. That wish has now come true.
|
Thanks to the dedication of the Johnson Society and the support of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, a branch from the original tree was carefully propagated, quarantined in Washington, nurtured at Vassar College, and finally planted here at Graeme Park. It now stands in a spot where Elizabeth could have seen it from her window. A commemorative plaque was unveiled during a moving ceremony that honored Elizabeth’s love of nature and poetry while celebrating the enduring connection between our communities. This tree is not just a symbolic, it is a living piece of history and a reminder that dreams can take root across centuries and oceans.
Looking ahead, I was proud to join the Horsham Land Redevelopment Authority for a ceremonial signing event that marked a major milestone in our community’s future. Together, we commemorated the execution of a sale agreement with the United States Navy for more than one hundred acres of the former Willow Grove Naval Air Station. This is a pivotal step in transforming the 862-acre site into a vibrant, revitalized space that will serve generations to come.
|
The future of Horsham is full of promise, and we’re just getting started. Thank you for being part of this journey. Whether we are honoring our veterans, celebrating our shared heritage, or building for tomorrow, your support and engagement make it all possible.

The need for blood is constant, and only volunteer donors can meet that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone requires a unit of blood every two to three seconds, and most of us will need blood at some point in our lives.
