June 20 e-mail: Busy days, bright futures & a big piece of art

Dear Friends,

My weeks are certainly filled with incredible moments highlighting Pennsylvania’s rich heritage, inspiring advocacy, and our commitment to community engagement. I wanted to share a few key events that exemplify the spirit of our great state.

A Masterpiece at the Capitol

Pennsylvania-based artist Molly Egan has unveiled a breathtaking 12x20-foot illuminated artwork in the Capitol’s East Wing. Each symbol within this vibrant masterpiece reflects the essence of Pennsylvania’s journey—its innovation, resilience, and contributions to our nation’s history.

Her incredible work has been featured worldwide—in magazines, books, clothing, and even cookies! Chances are, you’ve seen it before without even realizing it.

If you have the chance, I highly encourage you to visit the Capitol, capture the moment with a selfie, and share it with @america250_pa! Let’s celebrate Pennsylvania pride together as we look ahead to America’s 250th anniversary in 2026!

Empowered Future Pharmacists Advocating for Reform

I had the privilege of meeting with students from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy who are passionate about advocating for Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) reform. They are focused on changes to the way prescription drugs are distributed and managed, aiming to reduce costs, improve transparency, and increase patient access.  Their dedication to ensuring transparency, fairness, and accountability within our healthcare system is inspiring. Their efforts remind us that real change is possible when we work together to create accessible and affordable care for all.

United in the Fight Against ALS

Families, caregivers, and advocates gathered in Harrisburg to call for full funding of ALS Care Services in the Pennsylvania State Budget. As someone who has personally felt the devastating impact of ALS due to having family members being afflicted by ALS, I stand firmly in support of initiatives that improve access to care, research, and ultimately, the pursuit of a cure. To learn more about how you can be part of this advocacy, please visit ALS Mid-Atlantic.

Connecting Communities Through Resources

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Pennsylvania Treasury Unclaimed Funds Clinic held at my district office! It was wonderful to help folks reconnect with their lost assets. If you missed it, my office is available Monday–Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM to assist you in checking for unclaimed property.

Additionally, I truly appreciated the opportunity to join Senator Maria Collett’s Senior Fair at the Montgomery Township Community and Recreation Center. Engaging with our neighbors and sharing valuable resources is always a rewarding experience. If you didn’t have the chance to connect with us at the event, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help!

These moments exemplify the resilience and strength of Pennsylvania. I am grateful to be part of a community that values art, advocacy, and meaningful connections. Thank you for all that you do to make our state extraordinary.

Upcoming Events

Fall Shredding Event

Join us for our Free Shredding Event—a fantastic opportunity to protect your personal information while making a positive impact on your community! ??????

Safely dispose of old documents and keep your sensitive information out of the wrong hands. Paper shredding is a powerful deterrent to identity theft, making it nearly impossible for thieves to reconstruct private details. Plus, shredding supports paper recycling, helping to reduce waste in landfills!

And here’s another way to give back—bring non-perishable food items for donation and support local food banks while you’re here.

We’re thrilled to offer this service once again for our constituents. Protect your identity, reduce waste, and help your community—all in one event! Hope to see you there!

Have a great week,
