April 24 e-mail: Connecting with our neighbors

Dear Friends,

I hope this message finds you well. Being home in the district always brings me so much joy because it offers countless opportunities to connect with incredible constituents like you—both in the office and out in the community. These interactions are the heart of what makes our district so special, and I’m constantly inspired by the work, passion, and stories you share.

Recently, I had the honor of meeting with representatives from the Woori Center ????. Their unwavering commitment to advocacy and community empowerment is truly remarkable. Their dedication to amplify voices and address critical issues is nothing short of inspiring. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from their impactful work and support their mission. In case their resources could benefit you or someone you know, they’ve asked that I share this flyer with you all—it may just make all the difference for someone in need.

I am always thrilled when neighbors drop by with ideas on how we can strengthen our communities together. For instance, Ryan recently visited to share plans for an innovative nonprofit currently taking shape. It’s energizing to hear about his vision, and I’m eager to see it grow and evolve!

Community celebrations are also a highlight of my time here at home. What an incredible honor it was to join in the festivities for one of my most seasoned constituents, Bess, and present a citation on her 106th birthday. Let’s all take a moment to celebrate this impressive milestone—here’s to 106 years of treasured memories, and many more to come!

Conversations with constituents also often lead to exciting opportunities. Barbara recently came by to ask if I knew of any groups or organizations in need of a home base for their nonprofit. Her church has ample space available that could be utilized for the greater good. While this might not fall directly under my role as your State Representative, I firmly believe that fostering these connections strengthens the fabric of our community. I’ll keep her offer in mind and look for opportunities to make meaningful introductions.

Truly humbled and honored to receive this incredible medal from Master Yang as a token of appreciation for my work on the Korean Valor bill. This moment serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of preserving and honoring our shared history. Thank you, Master Yang, for this meaningful gesture.

Let’s keep working together to build stronger, more connected communities. If you have ideas, questions, or concerns, my door is always open. I look forward to hearing from you and continuing to make a difference—together.
