I’m excited to share some heartwarming updates that highlight the incredible resilience, compassion, and determination within our community as we continue working towards a brighter future for all.

?? Exciting News from Family Promise Montco PA!

I had the privilege of celebrating a major milestone with Family Promise Montco PA—the launch of their innovative food lockers at the Family Promise Food Pantry! These lockers represent a significant step forward in fighting food insecurity, offering families a convenient and discreet way to access essential groceries. Last year alone, the food pantry served 2,370 individuals across 54 ZIP codes in Montgomery County, a testament to the unwavering generosity of our community. Thank you to everyone who made this possible! Let’s keep supporting and uplifting one another.

?? The Reopening of the Ambler Community Fridge

Amidst national challenges to critical support programs, moments like the reopening of the Ambler Community Fridge serve as a beacon of hope. This initiative ensures that no one in Ambler goes hungry while fostering a spirit of generosity and unity. My heartfelt thanks to Weavers Way Co-op, Ambler Mennonite Church, Fresh Artists, and the many volunteers who made this possible. The vibrant artwork adorning the fridge is a reflection of our community’s creativity and optimism. Let’s continue to give what we can and take what we need to sustain this vital resource for years to come.

?? HealthSpark Foundation’s Community of Practice Conference

I was honored to join advocates, nonprofit leaders, and policymakers at this inspiring event, where we discussed pivotal issues such as homelessness, social equity, and community connection. The collaborative energy of these changemakers reaffirmed that, together, we can create a more equitable Montgomery County.

Each of these achievements and initiatives underscores the power of collective action. I’m deeply inspired by the compassion and dedication of our community members. Let’s continue to work together, making meaningful contributions that lift each other up and build a brighter, more connected future.

?? Attention Veterans and Supporters! ??

Join us for the Veterans ID Sign Up Event! This event is your chance to connect with valuable discounts and savings in Montgomery County.

The Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds encourages all veterans to record their DD214s for safekeeping and provides Montgomery County veterans with a photo ID card and a corresponding program to receive discounts for goods and services from participating merchants. Veterans will be able to present these cards to businesses throughout our region that have agreed to provide a discount to Montgomery County veterans in appreciation for the veterans’ service to our country.

In addition to signing up for your ID, we will be collecting toiletries, socks, and underwear to benefit veterans in our area. Your support makes a difference!

Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program: Financial assistance for eligible seniors to help with property taxes or rent.
