Kulik appointed to key committee for celebration of America's 250th birthday

Committee will identify and commemorate PA’s legacy infrastructure projects

CORAOPOLIS, April 4 – State Rep. Anita Kulik, D-Allegheny, said she is honored to have been appointed to serve on the Infrastructure Improvements and Projects Committee of the America250PA Commission.

The Pennsylvania Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial was established by the legislature and governor in 2018 to plan, encourage, develop and coordinate the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, Pennsylvania’s integral role in that event, and the impact of its people on the nation’s past, present and future.

“It is a privilege to be part of a committee that will help identify and showcase the signature places of each region in our great state,” Kulik said. “This is an effort that will capture the very best that Pennsylvania has to offer, celebrate our heritage and contribute to our lasting legacy.”

The commemoration of America’s 250th birthday will take place on July 4, 2026. People can learn more about America250PA at www.america250pa.org.
