Delloso secures over $2.8 million in grant funding

Will support pedestrian safety and sewage repair projects

RIDLEY PARK, Jan. 20 – State Rep. David M. Delloso, D-Delaware, today announced that more than $2.8 million in grant funding has been approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority for infrastructure projects in the 162nd Legislative District.

“This funding will help ensure that residents of Ridley Township can travel safely throughout the community while also supporting critical sewer repairs across the district,” Delloso said. “I’m pleased to see these state dollars invested back into our communities, and I will continue advocating for additional funding to address infrastructure needs throughout the district.”

Funding awarded through the Multimodal Transportation Fund includes:

  • $1.4 million for pedestrian safety improvements along MacDade Boulevard in Ridley Township.

Funding awarded through the Small Water and Sewer Program includes:

  • $425,000 for the annual inflow and infiltration abatement program in Folcroft.
  • $255,000 to support the second phase of development for the Triangle Park Stormwater Management Facility in Rutledge.
  • $250,000 for stormwater improvements in the Leedom area of Ridley Township.
  • $200,000 for a sanitary sewer inflow and infiltration reduction project in Ridley Park.
  • $182,000 to support the Chester Pike sanitary sewer rehabilitation project in Sharon Hill.
  • $120,241 for upgrades to the Martin Lane pump station in Norwood.
