Dear Neighbor,

October is a big month for community events.

This Saturday, October 11th, you can find us at the Delaware County Mental Health Fair, sponsored by Rep. Jennifer O’Mara. There will be food vendors, inspiring speakers, health information, and wellness demonstrations in observance of World Mental Health Day.

Next Saturday, the 18th, our office will be at the Delaware County Veterans Resource Fair. This will be held at the Briarcliffe Firehouse in Glenolden. In addition to resources and information for veterans, there will be free refreshments and free haircuts.

And of course, we will be hosting our big Veterans Luncheon & Resource Fair at the end of the month on October 30th. Not only will there be plenty of information and resources for veterans and your families, but a complimentary lunch from Mission BBQ. We are partnering on this event with District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer. Be on the lookout for a special guest appearance from Senator Tim Kearney. Medicare open enrollment begins next week

Medicare’s open enrollment period runs from October 15th to December 7th and Medicare-eligible Pennsylvanians can take advantage of the Pennsylvania Medicare Education and Decision Insight program, a.k.a. PA Medi.

PA Medi is a free program run by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging that helps older Pennsylvanians choose Medicare supplements based on their income and medical needs.

Property Tax/Rent Rebate forms

We have 2024 Property Tax/Rent Rebate booklets. Just ask my staff at either of our district offices in Ridley Park or Darby Township. As a reminder, my staff is happy to assist you with the rebate application process. Applications for a rebate on what you paid in 2024 are due by Dec. 31.
