Rep. David M. Delloso June 20, 2025 | 6:40 PM
Dear Neighbor,
A few months ago, there was much talk of impending cuts to SEPTA service times and even entire routes. I promised you that I would fight for SEPTA to get every penny it needs.
I have kept that promise.
This week, my colleagues and I in the House passed a bill that not only funds SEPTA, but delivers more money to repair roads and bridges across Pennsylvania. This is the largest transit increase in 10 years – and our bill would do it without raising taxes.
Like I said a few months ago, I understand that SEPTA is not just a “Philly thing.” Our legislative district relies on it – whether you’re a commuter going to work, a student headed to class, a veteran getting treatment at the VA hospital, or a senior citizen who no longer drives – not to mention the 39,000 people who are employed by transit systems all across Pennsylvania.
Now I will persuade my friends in the Senate to do the right thing and get this bill to the governor’s desk, where it can be signed into law.
Sincerely,
Pennsylvania State Rep. David M. Delloso
