I recently met with Schwenksville Borough officials to discuss infrastructure improvements. The borough was awarded $755,180 in state grant funding for a project to reconstruct Summit Avenue, from Woodland Avenue to Hillcrest Avenue, to allow for safer travel. This investment will include repaving the roadway, constructing sidewalks, and revamping stormwater controls. This is part of a larger $3.1 million investment in our communities for infrastructure projects. Read more

Our communities are tackling projects every day that are important to maintaining and improving our local infrastructure, from addressing aging sewer pipes and stormwater controls to protecting and improving roadways and sidewalks. These projects impact us directly and require significant resources, which is why I’m excited to announce that local infrastructure projects in our communities have been awarded more than $3.1 million in state funding, including $500,000 so that Variety can complete construction of a vocational building and an ADA-accessible cabin. House Ethics Committee Adopts Procedures, Launches Online Form

HARRISBURG, March 17 – The Pennsylvania House Ethics Committee reorganized for the 2023-24 session and, as its first action on Thursday, unanimously adopted updated committee rules and procedures, including an updated committee website to make it easier for individuals to file an ethics complaint. The website updates include providing direct committee contact information, an online complaint form, and links to House Rules and the committee's General and Procedural Rules . “Everyone deserves to feel safe when conducting business with any member of the House of Representatives, and these updates will ensure that our policies are clear to House members and the public and that any accusation or complaint is taken seriously and examined thoroughly,” said House Ethics Committee Democratic Chairwoman Donna Bullock, D-Philadelphia. “Our unanimous and bipartisan actions follow our chamber’s adoption of stronger ethics rules, which are the first steps toward a better workplace environment." This week, I joined my House colleagues in Harrisburg to vote on legislation to deliver justice for survivors of childhood sexual abuse. This was a unique bipartisan opportunity to pass legislation that would provide a two-year exception to the civil statute of limitations for sexual abuse lawsuits, allowing adult victims to come forward. Despite delay tactics from the other side of the aisle, the abuse victims' measures were approved. Read more

This was an exciting week in Harrisburg! Pennsylvania inaugurated our 48th Governor Josh Shapiro and our 35th Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis. It is exciting to have my friend and fellow Montgomery County resident Josh Shapiro as governor, someone with such deep experience at every level of state and local government.
