THE PGC APPROVES 10 ADDITIONAL SUNDAY HUNTING DAYS FOR THIS SEASON
Following Act 36 becoming law, the Pennsylvania Game Commission had the permissions to vote on additional Sunday hunting days, and I am excited to inform you that they have worked quickly to add an additional 10 Sunday hunting days this season. These additional days are a result of my work on HB 1431, as well as many hunters and farmers who have advocated for this legislation for years. You can review the additional days in PGC’s photo above. This is just the beginning!!!
PA VETERANS IN NEED CAN APPLY FOR FINANCIAL HELP
Eligible Pennsylvania veterans and their families can take advantage of the Veterans Temporary Assistance (VTA) Program, which provides up to $1,600 per year for essential needs like rent, groceries, utility bills, and clothing during times of financial hardship.
Since its launch, the program—run by the PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA)—has awarded more than $7.4 million to more than 6,800 veterans and families across the state.
Eligible applicants include veterans with honorable or general discharges, those with service-connected disabilities, and surviving dependents of eligible veterans or service members who died in the line of duty.
To apply or learn more, visit www.dmva.pa.org or contact your local County Veterans Affairs office.
