I was able to join the ribbon cutting this past week for the Grand Opening of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail with a new section in Brackenridge. This 35-mile trail has segments on both banks of the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio Rivers with access to the city’s neighborhoods, river town business districts, and local attractions.  Amazing work to the Friends of the Riverfront group on this new addition to the community!

Congratulations to the Bullcreek Rod and Gun Club on winning a grant from the Pennsylvania Game Commission, which will help them provide even more opportunities for our communities to learn about safe shooting and hunting. I also had the opportunity to pull names for the Veteran’s raffle at the club – which is a very nice club with beautiful grounds and lots of programs for children – my kind of place!! It was great to be able to talk to the members about Sunday hunting – finally!

I had the honor this past week of presenting citations from the PA House of Representatives to a talented group of state and district champion martial artists from James’ ATA Martial Arts in Natrona Heights. Thank you for inviting me, I am impressed by these kids’ hard work!
