As another election season comes to a close, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the minority and majority inspectors, the judge of elections, and the hardworking staff of Montgomery County Voter Services who helped make Election Day possible.
Despite the extreme heat and long hours, your dedication ensured that every voter had the opportunity to safely and successfully cast their ballot. Your commitment to serving the community and protecting the integrity of the democratic process does not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for all that you do.
I would also like to thank every resident who came out to vote and make their voice heard. Participating in our elections is one of the most important ways we strengthen our community, and your involvement matters.
Please note that our office will be closing at NOON tomorrow, Friday, May 22, and will remain closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
As many of us gather with family and friends to enjoy the unofficial start of summer, we hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and meaningful holiday weekend. Most importantly, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
Their courage, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten.
Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful Memorial Day weekend.????

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness helped protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.
As we gather with family, friends, and neighbors this holiday weekend, let us also take time to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and pay tribute to those who gave their lives in defense of our nation. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

SEPTA Mt. Carmel Grade Crossing Renewal Project
|
SEPTA recently informed my office that it will begin a full-depth renewal of the Mt. Carmel Avenue railroad crossing in Abington and Cheltenham townships later this month, resulting in temporary road closures, parking restrictions, and impacts to Warminster Regional Rail service.
Beginning Friday, May 29 at 9:00 a.m. through Monday, June 1 at 8:00 p.m., Mount Carmel Avenue will be closed between Houston Avenue and Tyson Avenue while SEPTA crews replace the crossing surface, worn ties, and rails. Crews will also mill and repave the roadway approaches as part of the project, which is intended to provide a smoother and safer crossing surface free of cracks and potholes.
During the closure, drivers will be detoured via Edge Hill Road, Easton Road, and Jenkintown Road. Local access to nearby homes and businesses will remain available throughout construction, though motorists should expect delays and allow additional travel time.
In preparation for the project, SEPTA will also temporarily restrict parking at Glenside Station from Wednesday, May 20, through Wednesday, June 3. A portion of the inbound parking lot along West Glenside Avenue will be used for equipment and material staging, resulting in 24 temporarily unavailable parking spaces.
Warminster Line riders should also be aware of service impacts on Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31. During that weekend, trains will operate on a two-hour schedule, with some trains terminating at Glenside Station. Single-track operations will also be in effect at Ardsley Station. See here for a PDF of the Warminster Line schedule.
Ardsley Station passengers should note the following boarding changes:
Saturday, May 30: All passengers will board and exit from the outbound platform.
Sunday, May 31: All passengers will board and exit from the inbound platform.
For schedules, service alerts, and travel information, visit SEPTA or use the SEPTA mobile app. Drivers can check live traffic conditions and detours through 511PA.

PECO Elkins Park Project Update
|
PECO continues work on a major electrical distribution system upgrade project in Cheltenham Township and Jenkintown Borough aimed at improving electric reliability and modernizing infrastructure in the area.
Most upgrade work has already been completed in parts of Elkins Park, Lamott, Lynnewood Gardens, Melrose Park, and Wyncote. Final electrical upgrade work in those neighborhoods is expected to continue through November 2026.
Construction activity is still ongoing in sections of Chelten Hills and Elkins Park, where PECO and contractor Infrasource are performing underground and aerial utility work. Work is expected to take place Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with possible weekend activity as needed. This phase of construction is anticipated to be completed by July.
Residents may experience temporary lane closures or detours during construction. PECO says access for emergency vehicles and trash collection will be maintained throughout the project.
For additional information and project updates, residents can visit peco.com/ElkinsPark or contact PECO Project Customer Liaison Brianna Ferrell at brianna.ferrell@exeloncorp.com.

Expungement Clinic Next Month
|
I’m partnering with Congresswoman Madeleine Dean to host our Annual Expungement Clinic on June 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at her Glenside District Office.
This clinic is an opportunity for eligible residents to receive guidance on clearing their criminal records and taking a meaningful step forward. Legal support will be provided by Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania, who will be on site to help participants throughout the process.
To participate, individuals should bring their case information, including court records or minute orders, and must not be in violation, on parole, or on probation.
I strongly encourage anyone who may be eligible to call my office ahead of time to confirm eligibility and make sure you have the necessary documents. You can also sign up online at RepNapoleon.com.
Helping people move forward and access a second chance is an important part of building stronger, safer communities, and I’m proud to support this effort!
