Fighting for the resources our schools
need to thrive
As your State Representative, I’m proud to have championed increased funding for our local schools in the 2025-26 Pennsylvania budget. The Governor Mifflin School District will receive nearly $2 million more, a 13.2% increase, and the Reading School District will see $29 million more, an 11.1% boost.
Investing in our students and teachers is investing in the future of our community, and I will continue fighting for the resources our schools need to thrive.

Supporting Families, Schools, and Communities
in Reading & Berks
The four-month state budget delay is finally behind us. The Pennsylvania General Assembly has finally passed a balanced, bipartisan budget. While the process took far too long, I’m proud of what we fought for and achieved. Our state is moving forward with a budget that increases support for families in Reading and Berks County while keeping taxes steady and avoiding additional costs.
I fought for a plan that increases funding for schools, invests in childcare workers, drives job creation and innovation, supports seniors and people in need, and improves roads and bridges. This is a responsible budget that gives families more financial breathing room while keeping our communities safe, healthy, and thriving. Above all, this budget puts families first.

Reading Students Shine at Inaugural La Carrera del Pavo
Last week, my team was at Lauer’s Park Elementary School, where the energy was incredible as we kicked off the first-ever Puerto Rican–style Turkey Run — La Carrera del Pavo — in the City of Reading! We celebrated 250 students with perfect attendance, and I was proud to sponsor 45 turkeys that were awarded to the race winners.
Families and kids were excited, and the spirit of community and culture was on full display. It was an honor to bring this beloved Puerto Rican tradition to our city and share the moment with students, parents, and staff.
