Shusterman announces upcoming fall events

PAOLI, Oct. 3 – State Rep. Melissa Shusterman, D-Chester, is inviting residents of the 157th Legislative District to two upcoming fall events.

From 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, Shusterman will host a Fall Shredding event from at the Penn State Great Valley Campus in Malvern. The event will include a food drive benefiting the Chester County Food Bank. Attendees are encouraged to bring perishable items such as breakfast cereal, canned proteins, hearty soups, beans and rice.

From 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10, Shusterman invites residents to join her for a relaxing stroll through the Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens. Executive Director Tom Smarr will share his expertise on gardening with native plants, and the evening will conclude with a state government Q&A session. All ages are welcome to attend this event.

"The fall season is a beautiful time of year in the 157th District," Shusterman said. "There is no better way to appreciate the weather and scenery than by getting outdoors to assist our community. Whether it's providing residents a chance to shred personal documents, educating them on our indigenous plants, or addressing inquiries about state government, any opportunity to make government more accessible in the 157th District is time well-spent."

For more information about these events or to get answers to any questions, residents are encouraged to call Shusterman’s District Office at 484-200-8260.
