In June, my PA House colleagues and I voted YES on H.B. 1364 that delivers vital dollars to transit systems in all 67 counties in PA while also making record investments in rebuilding roads & bridges all across the commonwealth – without raising taxes. This marks the fourth time in the last two years that my House colleagues and I have voted to adequately fund mass transit, which has included adequate funding for SEPTA. My House colleagues and I are continuing to fight for SEPTA funding this budget season. The state budget has not yet been finalized, and negotiations continue. We continue to urge the state Senate to do their part. The Senate left town. It’s time for them to get back and do their jobs. Tell them that’s what you want. Gov. Shapiro Signs My Lottery Bill to Benefit Senior Programs into Law
I’m proud to announce that my bill to reduce the PA Lottery’s profit margin requirement has been signed into law by Governor Josh Shapiro! Reducing the Lottery’s profit margin requirement will allow it to focus on maximizing gross profits. This law will enable the PA Lottery to strengthen its finances and be more competitive, which in turn will produce more revenue that goes to benefit PA's senior citizens. Programs funded by the PA Lottery’s proceeds include property tax and rent rebates; free and reduced-fare transportation services (such as ChescoConnect and SEPTA Senior Fare Cards); the low-cost prescription programs PACE and PACENET; care services; and local services provided by the 52 Area Agencies on Aging. The Lottery believes this change will increase its profits to benefit senior programs by $1.2 billion over the next 10 years. It is vital we ensure our Commonwealth continues to support our seniors and senior programs.

Attend My Veteran's BBQ with Me!
It was an honor to spend time with our neighbors at my annual Veterans BBQ event. The sacrifices they and their families make for our country do not go unnoticed and it is a pleasure to host this event every year. It is always a great time when our office can help veterans come together and continue to build their community. A special thank you to these organizations for attending to offer resources to our veterans: Office of Rep Chrissy Houlahan, Chester County Veterans Affairs, Chester County Recorder of Deeds (Military Discount ID cards), American Legion Paoli Post, and Legal Aid Veterans Outreach.
