About Rep. Chris Pielli

Chris Pielli was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in November 2022, serving the state’s 156th District.

Chris is a longtime resident of Chester County and returned to West Chester after serving honorably in the U.S. Army, where he completed the U.S. Army Airborne course (paratrooper course) and received two Army Commendation medals during his service.

With help from the GI Bill, Chris attended Temple University Beasley School of Law while working full time. He worked at the Chester County Prison where he served first as a correctional officer and later as a correctional counselor.  As an attorney, he served as a part-time Chester County public defender for five years while also establishing his own practice.

As a recent Chester County Recorder of Deeds, Chris reduced filing fees and costs, raised record revenue, and improved and innovated his office in many ways.  Most notably, Chris’ office continued operating throughout the pandemic delivering much needed revenue to all Chester County municipalities and school districts to include over $9 million in net County revenue which helped support the local economy.

In the General Assembly, Chris pledges to fight to bring Pennsylvanians a living wage and protect the environment, voting rights, a woman’s right to choose, small business owners, Veterans’ rights, and a citizen’s right to equal protection under the law.
