Pa. state Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski was joined by advocates at a news conference to highlight the critical issue of grandparents raising grandchildren and the legislation needed to address this very serious problem. Pashinski, a longtime supporter of kinship care families, has new legislation that would create a Legal Services for Kinship Care Families Grant Program for eligible nonprofit organizations that provide civil legal services to kinship care families.
