Pashinski, Argall announce $100K state grant for Trailwood Park development in Bear Creek Township

BEAR CREEK, Oct. 8 – Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski, D-Luzerne, and Sen. David G. Argall, R-Schuylkill/Carbon/Luzerne, today announced that $100,000 in state funding has been awarded to Bear Creek Township for the Trailwood Park Development Project.

The funding was awarded through the state’s Community Program – Small Communities initiative and will support improvements and development at Trailwood Park, providing Bear Creek Township residents with enhanced recreational opportunities and community amenities.

“Investments in our local parks and recreational spaces are investments in the quality of life of our communities,” said Pashinski. “Trailwood Park is an important community asset for Bear Creek Township, and this funding will help the township continue to develop a space that residents and families can enjoy for years to come. I’m pleased to have worked with Sen. David Argall to help secure this funding and support this important local project.”

“I am pleased that Bear Creek Township was awarded this competitive funding for Trailwood Park, expanding recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike,” said Argall.

The $100,000 grant will help Bear Creek Township advance the Trailwood Park Development Project, supporting improvements such as a new workout area that will benefit residents and visitors.

Pashinski and Argall said state funding for community projects such as Trailwood Park demonstrates the importance of directing state resources toward local needs and strengthening communities throughout northeastern Pennsylvania.

“Local officials know what their communities need most,” Pashinski said. “When we can partner with municipalities to bring state resources home and make these projects a reality, everyone benefits.”
