PLAINS TOWNSHIP, PA, Nov. 26 – State Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski, D-Wilkes-Barre, announced that his second annual open house, held Monday, Nov. 24 at his Tuft-Tex Complex office in Plains Township, was a resounding success, welcoming dozens of residents, community leaders and elected officials throughout the day.
Residents had the opportunity to tour the newly expanded office space, meet staff and learn more about the services available to assist individuals and families across the region. Pashinski emphasized the importance of maintaining open, accessible communication with residents and ensuring they receive the support and resources they need.
“I think it’s extremely important to continue to host open houses so the community can come out and see how my office can assist them,” Pashinski said. “We can accommodate more constituents in the new office space here, and we encourage people to come in and see how we can help them with their concerns and needs.”
As part of the event, Pashinski’s office collected nonperishable food items for the CEO Weinberg Food Bank and new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. Community participation was strong, helping kick off this year’s holiday giving efforts, Pashinski said.
Food donations will continue to be accepted through the end of December at Pashinski’s Plains Township and Wilkes-Barre offices. Toys for Tots donation boxes will remain available at both district offices as well, with toy collection ending Dec. 12.
Pashinski thanked all who attended, donated and helped make the open house an engaging and meaningful event for the community.
