Pashinski’s offices collecting food donations for CEO Weinberg Food Bank amid SNAP uncertainty

WILKES-BARRE, Oct. 31 – With uncertainty surrounding the distribution of SNAP benefits and the holiday season quickly approaching, state Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski announced that his district offices will serve as food donation drop-off locations to support the CEO Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank.

“Too many families are facing the difficult reality of putting food on the table right now,” said Pashinski. “As we enter the holiday season, it’s more important than ever that we come together as a community to support our neighbors in need. Every can, every jar, every donation makes a difference.”

Community members are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items during regular business hours, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, at Pashinski’s district offices located at 152 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Wilkes-Barre, or the Tuft-Tex Complex at 1325 N. River St., Ste. 106, in Plains Township.

Items needed most include:

  • Peanut butter
  • Canned proteins (tuna, chicken, etc.)
  • Canned beans
  • Pasta and pasta sauce
  • Pantry staples (rice, boxed meals, etc.)
  • Canned vegetables
  • Cooking essentials (oil, flour, sugar, etc.)
  • Baby formula
  • Baby food

All donations will be delivered to the CEO Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank to help ensure local families have access to nutritious meals throughout the holidays and beyond.
