Back-To-School Safety; and more

Dear Neighbor,

School is almost back, which means more kids will be walking, biking, and riding the bus each day. PennDOT and AAA are reminding all of us to slow down in school zones, put the phone away, and come to a complete stop at crosswalks and intersections.

A graphic with a picture of a school bus and text that says "Stop for School Buses. Drivers must stop at least 10 feet away from school buses that have their red lights flashing and stop arm activated. Wait until the red lights have stopped flashing and the stop arm has been withdrawn before moving. Do not move until all children have reached a place of safety."

Drivers are also reminded about the following:

If your kids walk or ride the bus, take a few minutes to go over the safest route, where to cross the street, and what to do if there’s ever an emergency on the bus. Simple things—like making eye contact with drivers, staying in well-lit areas, and keeping headphones off near traffic—can help keep them safe and confident.

A graphic that says "Pennsylvania's 2025 Sunday Hunting Dates: •	September 14, 21, 28 •	October 5, 12, 19, 26 •	November 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 •	December 7"

Starting this September, hunters will have the opportunity to hunt on Sundays through December 7. These Sundays fall within the already-established hunting seasons, with the exception of migratory game bird seasons.

The included dates are September 14, 21, and 28; October 5, 12, 19, and 26; November 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30; and December 7.

These are more than just extra days in the field—they represent a commitment to removing barriers, making hunting more accessible, and ensuring that Pennsylvania’s hunting heritage continues to be passed on.

Let us continue to work together to build a stronger and safer America by searching for the TRUTH and finding the FACTS to guide our words, and our actions. Please, STAY STRONG and SAFE! Our democracy needs us to come together for the good of all.

Sincerely,
