Two resurfacing projects scheduled for the district

LANSDALE, Aug. 10 – Following his continued efforts to push for infrastructure improvements in his district, state Rep. Steve Malagari, D-Montgomery, announced the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has awarded a $12.9 million contract to repair and resurface 17 roadways in Montgomery County. The contract includes plans to resurface 48 miles of state highways, including work on two projects in Malagari’s legislative district.
“After having numerous conversations with residents and state officials, I’m thrilled to see the state step in with 100 percent funding for these projects to improve roadways in our district,” Malagari said. “PennDOT has so many obligations throughout the state, but my office continues to relay information from residents to state officials to help highlight concerns about state roads in our region.”
The projects approved for resurfacing in the 53rd Legislative District are:
Construction will begin this summer. Work is expected to finish in summer 2022.
