Malagari announces temporary district office closure

LANSDALE, March 12 – State Rep. Steve Malagari, D-Montgomery, announced today that his district office at 100 W. Main St., Suite 110 is closed for the foreseeable future in order to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf this afternoon outlined other advisories and closures for Montgomery County, which can be found here.

“During this health emergency, those who can adhere to the policies of social distancing or stay at home should do so unless it’s imperative to work or seek care. My advice is based on expert guidance from the Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control,” he said.

Malagari’s staff will handle as many state-related questions and requests as possible during the office closure. Emailing RepMalagari@pahouse.net is the best way to communicate with his office. His office can be reached by phone at (267) 768-3671. Staff will return calls and respond to messages.

The state Department of Health continues to provide regular updates, along with information on prevention and preparation on the virus.

Older adults and people with severe underlying medical conditions, such as heart disease, appear to be at higher risk for more serious COVID-19 illness. Those interested can visit the CDC site here for advice on precautions those individuals should take.
