I hope you've been well! It's been a very cold and very snowy couple weeks here in the 53rd district, but that doesn't mean there's a shortage of reasons to celebrate. Below, you'll find a breakdown of Governor Shapiro's budget proposal, upcoming events from my office, and a major step we've just taken to end food insecurity in our region.

Governor Shapiro Unveils New PA Budget Proposal

Earlier this week, Governor Shapiro laid out his vision for Pennsylvania’s state budget. His plans include new funding for education, transit, career growth, and more. He also shared plans for cutting red tape and attracting innovation to Pennsylvania, setting the stage for us to build on this progress.

He also has a plan to keep our communities strong by investing in infrastructure and fighting the effects of rising costs. He announced a new agreement to cap energy costs, and new guardrails on data centers to ensure the communities they’re in don’t bear the costs of their construction. Big Win in the Fight to End Hunger

Last week, we celebrated the official opening of Share Food Program's new Lansdale facility! It was such a pleasure to welcome them to our community and celebrate neighbors helping neighbors. Together, we've come one step closer to ending hunger in this community.
