Dear Neighbor,
Happy New Year! I hope this new year is full of opportunities for all of you. Below, you'll find a recap of what my team and I were able to accomplish in 2025, and some exciting new developments to look forward to in the new year-from new municipal leaders to new infrastructure funding. Thank you to everyone who helped make 2025 such an impactful year-and here's to an even better 2026!
|
First, I'd like to acknowledge what we've been able to achieve in 2025. Despite the challenges we've all faced, my team and I have been able to expand our operations; We've added new community events for audiences young and old, we've had our highest volume of casework yet, AND we've secured new state funding for infrastructure projects around the district.

UPCOMING: College Planning Webinar
|
We all know that preparing for college can be a confusing, overwhelming, and costly process. But with a little planning, you can find a quality education at an affordable price.
That's why I'm partnering with PHEAA-a state-run agency that helps you plan and pay for college. In this webinar, their staff can help guide you through this process and educate you on the options you have for keeping education affordable-including scholarships and grants that don't need to be paid back.
RSVP at bit.ly/MalagariPHEAA to secure your spot and speak to the experts on financing a college education-meeting link will be provided prior to event start.

UPCOMING: Veterans Resource Fair
|
Veterans won’t want to miss my new Veterans Resource Fair, which will connect you with benefits and state services exclusively for those who served. Light lunch will be served at 11am; register HERE to secure your spot.
We’re also seeking veterans organizations and veteran-owned businesses to add to our vendor list for this event—those interested in participating as a vendor can sign up here.

New Funding for Better, Safer Roads
|
If you've ever been frustrated by the intersection at Welsh and Orvilla roads, good news--change is coming!
I'm excited to announce that our community has been awarded a $3 Million Multimodal Transportation grant to improve safety and traffic flow at this busy intersection. Plans include the construction of new, dedicated turn lanes and other roadway and traffic control improvements. This will reduce the amount of potential conflict points drivers must navigate, speeding journeys and significantly lowering the risk of collisions. Measures will be taken to avoid disrupting local infrastructure, and the work will not impact the cemetery located at this intersection.

Swearing in New Leaders Across our Community
|
Just a few days into the year, we watched as councilpeople and mayors were sworn in to carry out the duties voters chose them to perform. I'm excited at the perspectives these new faces will bring to our local government, alongside those who have been reelected to serve for another term. The people of our townships and boroughs are in good hands!
We also saw three new judges sworn in to the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. Judges McCarry, Pugh, and Hughes bring decades of combined legal experience to the bench. Thank you for stepping up to uphold the integrity and fairness of our justice system as you serve this term!

An Opportunity to Give Back
|
I’m proud to partner with Hedwig House this season for their Winter Donation Drive. As many of you have witnessed firsthand this month, the winter weather can be brutal. For many folks, though, this cold is not just an inconvenience, but a danger to health and barrier to accessing the resources they need. Protection from the elements is a basic human need, and our support can help our neighbors face the colder months with dignity.
I hope that you will join me in helping our neighbors through this season; my Lansdale office is accepting donations of the above items Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:30pm.
