Madden highlights $60K in local fire/EMS grants

HARRISBURG, Feb. 6 – Expressing gratitude for firefighters and emergency medical service personnel, state Rep. Maureen Madden highlighted more than $60,000 in grant awards for four local recipients.

“First responders are our real-life superheroes and so frequently go above and beyond to keep people safe in our communities,” said Madden, who represents the 115th Legislative District in Monroe County. “I am grateful not only to brave firefighters and EMS, but also to Governor Josh Shapiro and Acting State Fire Commissioner Thomas Cook for approving these grants late last week.”

Shapiro and Cook made the announcement Friday, with funding delivered through the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service Grant Program including the following local recipients:
