Get ready for my free Senior Fair this Thursday, October 23! State, county, and local organizations will be there to help connect older residents and their families with essential programs and services.

My staff and I will also be on hand to answer questions and provide information on state programs and services.

I want to remind folks in our area that requirements for SNAP have changed. Visit this website to learn about these changes, how they will affect SNAP recipients, and how to report that you are meeting the work requirements. 

As we approach the General Election on Tuesday, November 4, please keep these key dates in mind:

• Monday, October 20 – Last day to register to vote.
• Tuesday, October 28 – Last day to apply for an absentee or mail-in ballot.
• Tuesday, November 4 – Election Day. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Voters must be in line by 8:00 p.m. to cast a ballot.
• Tuesday, November 4, by 8:00 p.m. – Deadline for county election offices to receive mail-in and absentee ballots.

I had a great time at the Trunk-or-Treat event at the Robinson Township Library this weekend. It was fun to see how creative everyone got with their decorations and costumes!
