If you weren’t able to make it, I’m hosting another one on Saturday, October 4 at the Carnegie Municipal Building. If you have any unwanted or unused medications, the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office Project D.U.M.P. will collect those for safe disposal.

You’re invited to join me on Thursday, October 23 at the Kennedy Township Fire Hall for this year’s Senior Fair. Stop by to connect with local and state agencies offering help with tax/rent rebates, prescription and energy assistance, transportation services, and more. Refreshments will be served. As the chair of the House Game and Fisheries Committee, I visited Elk County with committee members to meet with the Pennsylvania Game Commission and other organizations and their leaders to discuss developments in regard to the Elk programs in our commonwealth. It was an informative meeting, and I appreciate having the opportunity to have these meetings to stay up to date with our state’s wildlife programs and the issues that impact them.

To commemorate America’s 250th anniversary and support the next generation of Pennsylvania leaders, America250PA is awarding $250,000 in scholarships to Pennsylvania high school seniors heading to in-state colleges and universities for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The program will award 25 scholarships, up to 12 at community colleges and 13 at other PA colleges and universities, totaling $10,000 each. Applications are due by January 31, 2026. Awards will be announced in April 2026.
