TODAY is Election Day. Here are the dates and deadlines you need to ensure that you are prepared to vote.
General Election: November 3, 2026. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you need to find your polling place, you can do so easily by clicking here. Remember: If you vote in person and get in line before 8 p.m., stay in line—even after 8 p.m.—because you can still cast your vote!
November 3 - Last day for county election office to receive completed mail-in and civilian absentee ballots (must be received by 8:00 p.m.)
November 10 - Military and Overseas Absentee Ballots
- Submitted for delivery no later than 11:59 PM on November 2

Returning your mail-in ballot
|
Mail-in and absentee ballots must be received by the Delaware County Bureau of Elections by 8 PM on Election Day. Delaware County has 28 secure, ADA-compliant ballot drop box locations available throughout the county including the drop box at the Government Center in Media. If you still have your mail-in ballot in hand, you need to take it to a drop box before 8pm tonight.
|
What if your mail-in ballot never arrived?
|
Some voters report that they applied for a mail-in ballot but haven’t received it yet. In the future, you can track the status of your mail-in ballot application here. If you did not receive and return your mail-in or absentee ballot and you want to vote in person, you have two options:
-
- Bring your ballot and the pre-addressed outer return envelope to your polling place to be voided. After you surrender your ballot and envelope and sign a declaration, you can then vote a regular ballot.
- If you don't surrender your ballot and return envelope (or you never received it), you can only vote by provisional ballot at your polling place in person. Your county election board will then verify that you did not vote by mail before counting your provisional ballot.
Under Pennsylvania law, voters must return their own ballots. The only exceptions to this are for voters with a disability who have designated someone in writing using the Designated Agent Form to deliver their ballot.

On Friday, my staff attended the 50th anniversary celebration of the Weatherization Program in Delaware County.
The Weatherization Program continues to make a meaningful difference for families by helping lower energy bills and making homes safer, healthier, and more comfortable. With rising utility costs, this program provides much-needed relief and helps families and seniors remain in their homes.
Congratulations to Community Action Agency of Delaware County on 50 years of making a difference and thank you for all you do to support our communities!

Healthcare Coverage Enrollment
|
With health insurance costs continuing to rise, I want to remind residents that open enrollment for 2027 health coverage through Pennie began on November 1.
Pennie is Pennsylvania’s official health insurance marketplace, where individuals and families can compare plans, explore coverage options and see if they qualify for financial assistance to help lower their monthly premiums.
Even if you already have health insurance through Pennie, I encourage you to review your coverage, as plans and costs can change from year to year. Be sure to enroll by December 15 to have your coverage begin January 1, 2027. You can visit Pennie.com or call Pennie Customer Service at 844-844-8040 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and on Saturday between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
I also want to share that the Delaware County Health Department is partnering with Pennie to provide free in-person assistance to residents who need help exploring their options or enrolling in coverage.
An open enrollment kickoff event will be held on Tuesday, November 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lansdowne YMCA, 2110 Garrett Road. Walk-ins are welcome, or you can scan the QR code in the graphic below.

Important information about United MediCorp collection notices
|
My office has received questions from residents who have received collection notices from United MediCorp Acquisitions regarding outstanding medical debt connected to Prospect/Crozer.
We learned from the Pennsylvania Insurance Department that Prospect Medical Holdings sold outstanding medical debt to United MediCorp LLC, and this company is now sending collection letters. Every collection agency is supposed to outline its dispute process. We are advising people to use the dispute process to determine whether the medical debt is legitimate. You may also want to contact your insurance company to confirm whether the bill was previously paid or covered. We are also directing individuals to file a complaint with the Attorney General’s Office.
|
Drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Posted detours will be in place during the closures. All work is weather dependent, so make sure you plan ahead and allow extra time for travel. For the latest updates visit, www.511PA.com.
