Sixty-one years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a landmark decision in Griswold v. Connecticut that established a constitutional right to privacy in reproductive health decisions and upheld the right to contraception. In the wake of a different Supreme Court's decision to roll back abortion rights in the Dobbs decision four years ago, we have seen increased efforts to roll back other critical facets of reproductive healthcare, including birth control.
Since 2017, when there were efforts to roll back access to birth control during the first Trump Administration, I have been working diligently on HB 1140. The bill passed the Pa. House with a bipartisan vote on June 3, 2025.
It has been sitting with the Pennsylvania Senate ever since.
We're done waiting. Join us in calling on the State Senate to take action and pass House Bill 1140.
Take Action
Working hard is at the core of what Pennsylvanians are about. Raising the minimum wage is about economic fairness and economic sense: every state around Pennsylvania has raised their wage multiple times since our last raise. The PA House has passed legislation to boost our state's economy by raising the minimum wage and making sure it keeps pace with inflation. This would put more money in the pockets of low-wage workers, money that would be spent on goods and services in our local businesses.
Fill out the form to email your state senator and their leaders in the state Senate to let them know that you support an increase in the minimum wage.
“We, the People” means ALL of the people. It’s time all Pennsylvanians were protected by our laws.
It’s 2026 but here in Pennsylvania people can still be fired from their jobs or evicted from their homes because of who they are or who they love. It’s time for us to pass the Fairness Act and make sure no Pennsylvanian identified as LGBTQ+ is denied housing, education, and access to public accommodations simply because of who they are or who they love. Pennsylvania’s lack of a comprehensive anti-discrimination law is an affront to human rights, an embarrassment to this commonwealth and a deterrent for workers and businesses who could help grow our economy.
Join us in asking the Senate to pass the PA Fairness Act.
It was 53 years ago when the U.S. Supreme Court said women have the right to control their own bodies. Three years ago, a very different U.S. Supreme Court said it was up to the states, and now abortion is completely illegal in 13 states, with four more banning abortion after six weeks – in most cases, before a woman even knows she’s pregnant.
That’s why House Democrats acted to pass a proposed amendment to the state constitution that would let the people decide – potentially giving the tenets of Roe v. Wade full constitutional protection where future extremists would never be able to take them away.
The Reproductive Freedom Act (HB1957) makes sure our rights are codified in our founding document itself – the Pennsylvania Constitution.
Now, it’s up to the state Senate to recognize the power lies in the hands of We, the People. Add your voice and demand they pass the Reproductive Freedom Act
