February marks the start of budget season in Harrisburg. On February 3, Governor Shapiro delivered his annual budget address, outlining his priorities for the year ahead.
Over the next several weeks, the budget process will continue with hearings before the House and Senate Appropriations Committees. These hearings give commonwealth agencies the opportunity to present their spending priorities, as members of the General Assembly take a close look at proposed investments and determine how they will best serve our communities across Pennsylvania.
The first budget hearings were postponed until today due to the snowstorm. You can watch these meetings live at this page, or after the fact here on YouTube.
