HARRISBURG, Jan. 8 – State Rep. Kristine Howard, D-Chester, took the oath of office in the state Capitol to begin her fourth term representing the 167th Legislative District in Chester County.
“I am honored to represent the residents of the 167th Legislative District,” Howard said. “It is a privilege to continue to serve my constituents and make sure that they, their families, their businesses and their communities have the resources needed.”
Howard said her priorities will be reproductive rights, protecting children, affordable higher education, environmental protection and improving economic conditions.
The Pennsylvania General Assembly is currently in its 209th consecutive legislative session, which began on Jan. 1, 2025, and will run through Nov. 30, 2026. Pennsylvania's legislative sessions are numbered consecutively, beginning with the first session held in 1790.
The oath of office was administered by Pennsylvania Supreme Court Chief Justice Debra Todd, and the invocation was given by Bishop Maureen L. Davis, who is pastor of the Open Door Mission True Light Church, located in Philadelphia.
