Goughnour appointed to Labor & Industry Committee

HARRISBURG, Oct. 29 – State Rep. Dan Goughnour, D-Allegheny, has been appointed to the PA House Labor & Industry Committee, a position that will allow him to shape the issues affecting working Pennsylvanians.

“I’m honored to be appointed to the Labor & Industry Committee,” said Goughnour, who represents Pennsylvania’s 35th Legislative District and is a long-standing member of Teamsters 205. “Pennsylvania’s workforce is the backbone of our economy, and I look forward to advancing policies that strengthen job opportunities, protect workers’ rights, and promote responsible economic growth. As someone who’s spent years as a union member, I understand firsthand the importance of fair labor practices, safe worksites, and strong support for working families.”

Goughnour thanked House Speaker Joanna McClinton for entrusting him with this committee assignment and said he’s looking forward to working with committee Chairman Jason Dawkins, D-Phila.

Other committees on which Goughnour serves are Aging & Older Adult Services, Game & Fisheries, Finance, Liquor Control, and Intergovernmental Affairs & Operations.
