Legislative Update, Governor's Budget Address; Teachers sought

First and foremost, Go Birds! ??????

Governor Shapiro gave his annual budget address earlier this week. His proposal presents a clear vision for Pennsylvania’s future, continuing the progress made in recent years. His plan prioritizes fair funding for schools, cuts costs for working families, and supports economic growth while strengthening our communities.

The budget builds on last year’s education funding plan to ensure every child has access to a quality education, while also supporting our next generation of teachers. It also promotes economic growth by cutting taxes for businesses and ensuring large corporations pay their fair share, alongside investments in mass transit and transportation infrastructure.

We look forward to reviewing the proposal in detail during the upcoming budget hearings. While there is much to consider, we recognize the Governor’s focus on pragmatic, common-sense solutions, and we are committed to working together to ensure this budget benefits all Pennsylvanians.
