Rep. Carroll to host Back-to-School Resource Fairs

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 5 – State Rep. Andre D. Carroll will host the remaining two of his three August back-to-school resource fairs for constituents from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 9 and Aug. 16 in Philadelphia.

The events—in collaboration with Councilmember Isaiah Thomas and local organizations—aim to help families prepare for the upcoming school year. Students in grades K-12 can get free school supplies, and parents/guardians can learn about state programs and services that support kids and families.

• Saturday, Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at INIK Boutique, 730 E. Chelten Ave.
• Saturday, Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. – 2p.m. at Thorn’s Barber & Beauty Co., 4841 N. Broad St.

The first of the set of back-to-school fairs was held on Aug. 2 at HairAfter Barbershop.
