Dear Neighbors,

Now, more than ever, it’s so crucial that we exercise our civic duty to vote every year in every election. This year’s elections decide who will represent you in Pennsylvania state government and in Washington D.C.

While the deadline to register to vote in the primary election on May 19 has passed, if you are already registered to vote, you still have time to request your mail-in ballot. You can check your registration status here.

May 12 – Last day to apply for a mail ballot: vote.pa.gov/mailballot.

May 19 – Election Day. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Completed mail ballots must be received by 8 p.m.: vote.pa.gov/polls.

Team Carroll in the Community

On April 26th, I attended Asil Greer’s Rites of Passage ceremony, and it was truly a special way to celebrate both his birthday and all the incredible accomplishments he’s achieved so far. I was honored to present him with an Honorary Citation, recognizing the powerful influence and amazing work he’s done at such a young age. Asil, continue to shine and stay true to who you are. Wishing you the happiest birthday and so much more success in the future!

On April 29th, Team Carroll attended Councilman Thomas’ We Set the Tone Philly Music Month kickoff! This event is an effort to establish Philadelphia as the music city it is, providing new oversight offices, new resources and opportunities for music creators, and plenty of events for Philadelphians to enjoy. Together we can make our city better!

On April 30th, I had a great time at Philadelphia Youth Basketball’s Sneaker Ball! This was a great event filled with amazing friends, family, and true sneaker heads. Thank you PYB for 10 years of being true champions. I am more than happy to always support your mission of developing an ecosystem where all members of our community can succeed! Big shout out to everyone I got to meet and catch up with. You all truly made this event the place to be!

On May 1st I went to support our workers on May Day! It was so powerful hearing from the working people about their priorities! I want to take the time to thank everyone who came and supported workers with me!

On May 1st I attended Former City Council member Blondell Brown’s book signing, which was hosted by Councilman Kendra Brooks. It was inspiring to hear her story as an elected official and to get unforgettable advice from someone who’s served before. I even got my own signed copy of her wonderful book!

On May 2nd, I was happy to support my community members in the West Oak Lane section of our community. Always happy to show up in my community!

On May 5th, Team Carroll went to support the new music studio program at Lonnie Young Rec Center! This program focuses on teaching kids drumming, how to play the guitar, singing, songwriting, and recording! It’s every Monday from 4-6 PM so make sure to bring your child by for this great opportunity. For any questions call Miss Debbie at (267) 819-7441!

On May 7th, I had a wonderful time at the Stenton Garden Party. It was a great experience getting to support the NW neighbors of Germantown! Thank you Susan Ponsen for inviting me out to this amazing evening at this beautiful garden.
