Minimum Wage Press Conference - June 20, 2023

Rep. Ryan Bizzarro and colleagues from the House Majority Democratic Caucus honor a commitment to voters and sent a bill to the state Senate that will raise Pennsylvania’s $7.25 per hour minimum wage. The bill increases the minimum wage in PA to $11.00 per hour, effective January 1, 2024; $13.00 per hour, effective January 1, 2025; $15.00 per hour, effective January 1, 2026. Beginning in 2027, the minimum wage would be indexed to inflation.

PACT Students

Rep. Ryan Bizzarro meets with students and young people who are interested in government and working to advocate for a cause. On May 2, 2023, he met with students from Erie County who help make up the hundreds of students and young adult advocates supporting the American Lung Association, Tobacco Resistance Unit - TRU, and PACT (Pennsylvania Alliance to Control Tobacco) during their annual day at the Capitol.

National Donate Life Month - April 2023

National Donate Life Month is celebrated each April to honor the lives saved through donation and to encourage people to register as an organ donor in order to provide the gift of life. On April 25, 2023, Rep. Ryan Bizzarro welcomed representatives from the Center for Organ Recovery and Education, where he serves on the board, to encourage his colleagues and all PA residents to register as organ donors.

Beagle Freedom Bills News Conference - April 22, 2023

Rep. Ryan Bizzarro was joined by fellow animal advocates, local and state shelters, and families, at a reunion for beagles that were rescued in 2022 from a mass breeding facility in Virginia and unveiled his legislation to protect animals from inhumane tests and abuse. During the reunion event, Bizzarro unveiled his Beagle Freedom Bills, meant to protect animals being bred and used for research in animal testing laboratories and from kennels and dealers who face serious or multiple citations under the Animal Welfare Act.

Her family-owned business was founded at the end of Prohibition and today distributes brands big and small across Northwest Pennsylvania and beyond.

Millfair Recycling Center Ribbon Cutting

Bizzarro Presents Citations To State Champs

Members of the Brewers of Pennsylvania traveled to Harrisburg on February 7, 2022 to advocate for the craft beer industry. Erie-area brewers were welcomed by Rep. Ryan Bizzarro, who heard their ideas and concerns about pending legislation before giving them a tour of the House of Representatives.

State Rep. Ryan A. Bizzarro hosted his 3rd annual Senior Fair August 31, 2015 at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center in Erie.

Grant Presentation at Local Fire Department

State Rep. Ryan A. Bizzarro teamed up with state Sen. Sean Wiley and U.S. Rep Mike Kelly at West Lake Fire Department in Erie to highlight a federal grant awarded to the organization. The department received a $143,305 grant through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. The grant will help provide custom-made equipment including jackets, pants, gloves, boots and helmets for 45 firefighters; a washer and dryer; and two new thermal imaging cameras.

Joint News Conference on Veterans' Court Legislation

State Rep. Ryan A. Bizzarro held a joint news conference with state Sen. Rob Teplitz on the reintroduction of their legislation to expand veterans' treatment courts statewide. Bizzarro's H.B. 887 would establish a court in any county that doesn't currently have one.

State Rep. Ryan A. Bizzarro, vice chairman of the House Democratic Policy Committee, co-hosted a public hearing on jobs and how to build the economy in Pennsylvania. The hearing was held March 25, 2015 at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center in Erie. Business leaders and community members from Northwest Commission, Visit Erie, All Aborard Erie, and Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership were on hand to testify about ways to help grow jobs in Erie and across the commonwealth.

House Democratic Policy Committee Hearing on Education Funding

State Rep. Ryan A. Bizzarro participated in a House Democratic Policy Committee public hearing on March 23, 2015. The hearing was co-hosted by state Rep. Pat Harkins and was held at the Barber National Institute in Erie. Lawmakers heard from school superintendents and other community members about education funding and Governor Tom Wolf's "Schools that Teach" plan.

Tour of Donjon Shipbuilding and Repair

State Rep. Ryan A. Bizzarro, along with other Democratic members of the House of Representatives, toured the Donjon Shipbuilding and Repair facility in Erie in March 2015. The tour was part of a set of House Democratic Policy Committee hearings on how to help boost manufacturing jobs and economic development both regionally and across the state.
