Scott announces state funding for renovation and repurpose project in Plymouth Meeting

HARRISBURG, March 26 – State Rep. Greg Scott, D-Montgomery, today announced the approval of a $435,312 state grant that will be used to reconfigure access roads to the Plymouth Meeting Mall.

“This project exemplifies our commitment to progress and infrastructure improvement for all who call this area home. We're not just building roads; we're paving the way for safer, more efficient transportation, and enhancing the connectivity of our community.,” said Scott.

The Multimodal Transportation Fund from the Commonwealth Financing Authority provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available to the residents of the commonwealth. Funds can be used for transportation asset development, rehabilitation, streetscape enhancement, lighting, sidewalk improvement, pedestrian safety, connectivity, and transit-oriented development in existing communities.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority approved the grant this morning. The authority was established in 2004 as an independent agency of DCED to administer Pennsylvania’s economic development programs.
