Scott urges homeowners to apply for Montgomery County Whole Home Repair program

NORRISTOWN, March 11 – State Rep. Greg Scott is urging homeowners to apply for the Montgomery County Whole Home Repairs Program (WHRP). Administered by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD), offers up to $50,000 grants to eligible homeowners to address safety concerns, improve energy efficiency, and make units accessible for disabled individuals.

“This program is designed to target Montgomery County’s most vulnerable community members. A safe place to live is a fundamental right and with the current housing affordability crisis Whole Home Repairs is needed more than ever,” said Scott, D-Montgomery.

Based on program funding, Montgomery County intends to equally target at least 100 to 150 properties for repairs, weatherization, and/or enhancements.

“I partnered with Senator Amanda Cappelletti, Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, and ACLAMO Family Centers to host a community meeting to go over the program, eligibility, and selection process, and how to apply. My goal as Representative is to make sure that residents of my community are supported in keeping their homes safe and functioning.”

“The door to my office is always open and I would be happy to help you with the application process, call 484-685-3494 or email, RepScott@pahouse.net.”
