Scott announces series of Property Tax/ Rent Rebate Program Clinics throughout June

NORRISTOWN, JUNE 2 – State Rep. Greg Scott, D- Montgomery, announced today a series of free Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program clinics that his office will hold in Montgomery County throughout June.

“I am bringing my office services around the 54th district to help everyone who is eligible get cash rebates to help offset some of the cost of property taxes and rent,” Scott said. “The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program is a fantastic program, particularly for so many of our seniors, and we want as many people from across the district to apply as possible before the June 30 deadline."

The series of Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program clinics will be held at the following times, dates and locations:

  • 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, June 6, Conshohocken Community Center (at the Fellowship House), 515 Harry St., Conshohocken.
  • 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, June 12, Greater Plymouth Community Center, 2910 Jolly Road, Plymouth Meeting.
  • 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 15, Conshohocken Free Library, 301 Fayette St., Conshohocken.
  • 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 22, Norristown District Office, 1019 W. Main St., Norristown.

The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program is available to eligible Pennsylvanians 65 and older, widows and widowers 50 and older, and people with disabilities 18 and older. The current annual income limit is $35,000 for homeowners and $15,000 for renters, with half of Social Security income excluded. Spouses, personal representatives or estates may also file rebate claims on behalf of claimants who lived for at least one day in the claim year and meet all other eligibility requirements. The current standard rebate maximum is $650.

Applicants should bring proof of all income from 2022, including Social Security Income, documentation of benefits from pensions and annuities, and all other miscellaneous forms of income received in 2022 to file for a rebate during the clinic. Homeowners must bring proof of all 2022 property tax bills. Renters must submit the PA Rent Certificate, along with the total 2022 rent paid.
